Science through Art

Today we used clay to make a selection of the seeds we have been studying. We learnt that seeds can disperse in many different ways. Some catch a lift on an animal, some are blown away by the wind, others travel via rivers and streams and some even get eaten by animals and carried away to a new place. We made sure we included the features that help them disperse, for example hooks to attach onto an animal’s fur. We then created a poster full of facts about the seed we had created. It was great fun and we learned a great deal!
