Year 5 were given the opportunity on 30th October to visit the space dome to start off the new topic ‘Are we alone in the Universe?’ with a bang!
On entering the dome, we quickly realised we were going to learn mountains of new things. Inside, it pictured a screen showing such things as the following: the International Space Station, focusing on where you’d be living inside; star constellations, particularly Ursa Major and Minor and the moon phases from new to full moon.
Miss Morgan remarked ‘It was extremely immersive and made me realise just how small we are!’
When we came out, we were buzzing with facts and inspired to go far in our topic.
