The Foundation children have become scientists this half term and we have been doing all sorts of exciting experiments and investigations.
Each week we experience something wonderful in the world of science. Last week we decided as the clocks had gone back that we would investigate what the school grounds looked like in the dark! All of the Foundation children and their lovely parents/carers came long after school had finished and we went for a Night walk! The children went off in groups using their torches to show them the way. Along the route they had to find the pumpkins hiding in the forest! The children counted them as they saw them. “I found 10!”
When they reached Pearlsland, they were greeted by Mr Clark and the terrific blaze of a bonfire. All of the children sat around and had some delicious warm hot chocolate and Miss Reed and the children then sang some campfire songs to end the evening.
We had the most exciting time and everyone from the siblings, to the grownups enjoyed themselves and loved seeing the school in such a different light; literally!
