Man-On_The_Moon-small[2]On Tuesday 5th February six children participated in the annual public speaking competition organised by the Rotary Club. Ella James, Owen Atkins and Maria Peake presented their talk for ten  minutes. ‘Man on the Moon -was it really a giant leap?’ Ella was the Chairperson, followed by Owen who delivered the main speech with Maria presiding over the vote of thanks.

The Chairperson  of the second group was Cory Nandial. ‘The Vikings-Good guys or Bad Guys?  Holly Hoban delivered the argument and Isabella Wall gave a vote of thanks.

Both groups performed brilliantly  to a large audience of  Rotarians, parents and other groups. Seven teams took part with three going through to the next round. Both teams from Alphington were successful and will speak again on Monday 25th February at The Exeter Golf and Country Club.The-Vikings-sml[1]
