Topsy Turvy Day
— 13/11/2014 Comments Off on Topsy Turvy Day 345Last week we came to school in our pyjamas! We turned day into night to introduce our topic of Night and Day. Our teddies came with us too. When we had introduced our teddies to each other we sat down and enjoyed a bedtime story and hot chocolate drink.
During the morning we worked in our groups and did lots of different learning. We shared our ideas about why we have night time and looked at a globe moving around with a torch shining on it. Also we crawled into a dark den and experimented with torches.
In the creative area we listened to a story called ‘Goodnight, Goodnight.’ and created some nighttime scenes.
We all thought the morning was fun. Our teachers liked being nice and cosy in their pyjamas too!
